Margie's Cafe Canteen

Stopped in while waiting for my prescription at CVS, this is the 1st time coming in. I loved the decor, very heavy on sugar skulls and Catarina decor which was beautiful, they have a bar with beers on tap and liquor for mixed drinks, but they also had some 2-4 seating tables so it was nice to be able to sit and eat. I went with their Club sandwich and it was so delicious!!! The bacon was exactly how I asked for it crispy to the point I could hear the crunch when I would take a bite and the bread was the perfect way to tie everything together. They had a special today (Wednesday’s) where its sandwich and fries for $10.99 so it was a good deal for the amount of food. So much honestly I needed to ask for a Togo box. The waitress was friendly, welcoming and gave good recommendations so overall she was the cherry on top of the experience. She goes by cricket and was a pleasure to have her take care of me. Will be coming back with my husband for sure to try out their drinks and tacos. Overall, it’s great to see a restaurant with good food, good service and so close to home.

My son and I recently visited El Paso, it was his first time! So, my partner and I wanted to host a special welcome lunch for him to meet some of our friends, and I knew Margie's Cafe Canteen would be the perfect place. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warm, welcoming smiles from customers and staff. The manager handled our large group, seamlessly! The entire place was immaculate, with a really cool decor that beautifully showcases local art and culture - the perfect authentic introduction to the city for my son.Now, let's talk about the food. I've had the pleasure of trying their famous Don Ben’s Potato Tacos before, and they were just as insanely good as I remembered. Paired with an order of their delicious rolled tacos, it was the perfect meal for me. My son absolutely loved their fries, too! It's safe to say these tacos will always be my favourite, and they are a dish you simply have to try. If you're looking for incredible food, a wonderful atmosphere, and top-notch service in El Paso, look no further than Margie's. It was the ideal setting for our celebration, and we highly recommend it! Special thanks to Stevie.

The food is delicious here. I devoured my Jalapeño Burger in no time. My wife ordered nachos. I ate some of those too. Margies has a good menu selection. They serve breakfast and they serve it any time of the day. They have salads, burgers, nachos, wings and more. Its all delicious. The restaurant itself is small inside. The tables are small. However their bar has plenty of chairs. A bit dim inside. Cool paintings and artwork on the wall. The music doesn't disappoint. Waitstaff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You will feel welcomed here. I had a good experience at Margies. I'll definitely return for another burger.

We finally went to Margie's Cafe Canteen A truly satisfying dining experience! It's great to see a local business in its beginnings. We must support each other. Our meal began with chips and queso, which set the tone for the excellent cuisine to follow. The steak tacos and rolled tacos were both delicious, and the red sauce was a standout. It's a hidden gem!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Breakfast & Outstanding Service! This place is a hidden gem! The breakfast was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. From the eggs over medium to the crispy bacon and perfectly brewed coffee, every bite hit the spot. But what really stood out was the customer service. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family! Support your Local! Well worth it!

Another 5 star place. Unique yet cool vibe to this place. Mellow older Rock & Roll playing. Margie herself served us, very nice lady that cares about her customers. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger. Handmade patty cooked perfectly, done through yet still juicy, not dry. The added green chili wasn't playing, it was very hot in a good way. Fries were nice and crispy. All in all, a GREAT meal! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an out of the way place to eat or just have a drink and chill for a bit.

Holy smokes! We were looking for a new brunch spot to try and just happened to stumble upon Margie’s. Service was excellent, food was SO good, and I wouldn’t believe the cook was by himself and sent all the food out perfectly prepared and all hot. One of the best burgers I’ve had in El Paso, and I can’t wait to try more.

Found this place on Google and the pictures gave me the confidence to check it out. Honestly the flavor, service, and atmosphere were top notch! It was easy to see the attention to detail in everything they do from the fresh quality food, to the attentive and friendly service, plus the memorable decor, I loved Margie’s Cafe Canteen. This will be a new go-to for sure!
